Wd my passport only shows unlocker not data

A pop up Windows 10 notification shows 'There's a problem with this drive.

Here is what I have experienced: When I plug in the drive, the WD Unlocker appears, and I am able to unlock the drive with my password.

In googling around, I have not found this exact situation so asking here! I am not able to see or access my files on my 4tb external HDD (WD My Passport) only the WD default install files appear, despite the drive showing as full.
